customs clearance

Importing and exporting your goods into and out of the country requires preparation and submission of the proper documentations to U.S. Customs for examination, assessment, and payment of duty to get clearance on your shipments. We work directly with our clients to help ensure accurate tariff classification, customs appraisal, country of origin, and eligibility for entry under free-trade agreements. We determine the correct amount of duties, taxes and fees payable on imports, expediting the import and export clearance of goods. We also identify potential duty drawbacks.

pre-classification service

Knowing how much customs duty calculated on your import goods is very important in the import process. We can help you to determine your tariff numbers and duty rates on your goods, allowing you to estimate your final costs more accurately.

bonded warehousing & duty paid storage

Store your frozen, refrigerated and dry goods in our secure bonded warehouse - put your cash flow to work for you by deferring your tax payments until your goods are sold. We also offer duty paid storage space in our San Pedro location warehouse.

FOREIGN TRADE ZONE admissions

Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) are designated areas within the U.S. which, for the purposes of tariff laws and Customs entry procedures, are treated as though they are outside of the U.S. Customs territory. Foreign and domestic merchandise may be admitted into foreign-trade zones for storage, exhibition, assembly, manufacture, production, and processing, without formal Customs entry procedures, the payment of Customs duties, or the payment of federal excise taxes. Using an FTZ can help you manage the flow of goods and improve your cash flow. In short, you can avoid paying out duty up front, and if goods are released into the U.S. for commerce, duty is not paid until the customs entry is filed. Let our team help you take advantage of the FTZ program as a way to streamline your customs processes and stabilize your cash flow.

IMPORTER SECURITY FILINGS (10+2)

An Importer Security Filing (ISF) and also known as 10+2 is a filing required by Customs, that documents importing information and details, as shipments pass from point to point. This rule applies to import cargo arriving in the U.S. by vessel. You must have a bond in place and transmit the ISF no less than 24 hours before the cargo is loaded on the vessel. Our associates will help you to acquire an ISF bond and transmit it on time to avoid the Customs penalty.

duty payment service

The importer of record is responsible for paying customs duty when their goods are imported into the U.S. We’ll help you pay the correct duty to U.S. Customs through our Customs ACH, as part of our services in clearing your goods.

containerization, consolidation & transloading

Join with the various cruise lines who entrust us to manage the consolidation on their shipments. We also offer specialized management of containerization for shipments heading out of the country as well as transloading services for containers coming in through the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach.

edi

We use an electronic data interchange, which means that we can provide electronic copies of customs documentation and filings to ensure that your information moves through the importing process quickly.

customs bond

Customs bonds are required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for every shipment imported in the U.S. You have the option of obtaining a "single entry" or "continuous bond". The type of bond you elect to obtain ultimately depends on how often you import into the U.S. Our associates can help you obtain a Customs bond through a surety licensed by the U.S. Department of Treasury.
