FTZ & Bonded Warehouses

Bonded Warehouse & Foreign Trade Zone

Warehouse Services.

customs bonded warehouse

We operate with a bonded warehouse, located in San Pedro, who is authorized by Customs for storage of goods on which payment of duties is deferred until the goods are removed. Your goods sit under the warehouse operator’s bond while in the warehouse, until the goods are either exported, withdrawn for supplies to a vessel or aircraft in international traffic, destroyed under Customs supervision, or withdrawn for consumption domestically after payment of duty.

Our customers benefit from substantial cost savings through deferment of payment in various situations. The warehouse proprietor maintains all records that enable Customs to readily verify that our client’s bonded merchandise is accounted for, and that merchandise has not been released from the warehouse before Customs has received the proper amount of duties owing thereon or has proof of exportation.

Foreign Trade Zone

Our Foreign Trade Zone is located in our warehouse housed in the Port of Los Angeles serving the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Merchandise foreign to the U.S. won’t be subject to the same CBP procedures and duty payments until the goods leave the FTZ and enter the U.S.

Other benefits include:
-the ability to bring raw materials, components, and/or partially finished goods that might individually have a high duty rate into the FTZ and assemble them into one product that has a lower duty rate.
-export goods in-bond without paying duty to the U.S. If merchandise foreign to the U.S. is brought into a FTZ and then exported from the FTZ, duty drawback does not need to be applied, because no import duties were ever paid.
-declare customs on a weekly basis instead of a per shipment basis.
